About Me

My name is Ashley, and I've been reading for as long as I can remember.  Currently in my early 30s and the obsession has only gotten stronger.  I believe in the power of words and the beauty of sentences. I believe in the world between pages and the limitlessness of imagination.  Books are a solace and an escape, the point of laughter and tears and sadness and heartbreak.

I read mostly YA fiction (in all genres), because I think it's the best of the literary world: emotion and innocence coupled with the curiosity and complexities of real life. Besides, who can say no to kissing and crushing and that achingly beautiful mysterious boy who sits next to you in chem class, never says a word and knows the deepest secrets of your soul?

I also read contemporary fiction, tons of Rom-Com, a heavy dose of Middle Grade, and pretty much anything you can pitch me as a really good story.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Literary Journalism from the University of California, Irvine; and one day want to work with books all day, every day.
