The Weekly Wrap-Up (18): Happy December!

Where does the time go!? Happy December, everyone! The blog was slightly quiet this week, as work got absolutely insane (I'm falling behind!) and all the lack of sleep I had in November caught up to me. But that's ok, this is the first weekend I only had ONE thing planned (and it's a book event!) so I'm determined to get lots done. I have some EXCITING things for the blog in December, and I can't wait to share with you.

In case you missed it...
Review: Love and Other Perishable Items by Laura Buzo
Oh I loved this book so much. 4.5 stars.

Notable...
The winners of my Holiday Book Giveaway are...
Veronika & Heather!
Congrats! Your books will be on the way soon :)

Also, I changed up my header again, so if you're seeing this in a Reader...I promise some cheery holiday fun if you hop over to my site!

Coming up...
A review of Unraveling by Elizabeth Norris and possibly a review of the awesome Middle Grade adventure Double Vision by FT Bradley - and a special interview with the author! My Monthly Reads post for December will also go up, and Top Ten Tuesday will host my Christmas wish list :) Plus, I'll finally be able to do Jamie's amazing End-of-Year Survey! I saw it everywhere last year and have been waiting the entire duration of my blogging "career" to get to do it haha. That'll go up this week or next.

Onto the book haul!

Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
If you recognize this title on my blog, it's because I had an advance copy from NG before it released - but I got halfway through it and the file expired! I've been left hanging since June...but no more! Finally time to finish this up, and I'm SO excited.

Pretty Crooked by Eliza Ludwig
Graceling by Kristen Cashore

Purchase
The Matched trilogy by Allie Condy
I had no intention of purchasing anything between now and Christmas, but on Cyber Monday they had this awesome box set deal for less than $30. Of hardcovers. And a signed version of Reached! How could I say no?!

Out of Reach by Carrie Arcos
for Sunday's The End is Nigh event!

Won
Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver (review here!)
Pandemonium (Delirium #2) by Lauren Oliver (the cutest little paperback I ever did see!)
from Epic Reads Thanksgiving Tea Time! Thank you so much, girls!

Gifted
Black City & Phoenix signed bookmarks, from the author - thanks so much Elizabeth! They're gorgeous!
A fantastically funny bookmark + gift card from one of my fav bloggy friends, Sierra at Yearning to Read.

Review
Model Spy (The Specialists #1) by Shannon Greenland, via NetGalley - thanks JKS/Penguin!
I was a bit iffy since I wasn't too big a fan of Shannon's other book - but I saw the blurbs on NG from other book bloggers that I know and trust, and I'm going to give it a whirl. It definitely looks exciting!

The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay, via NetGalley - thanks Atria books!
I saw Jen of Makeshift Bookmark and Anna from Anna Reads chatting this book up like craaaazy -  and when I saw it pop up on both Magan at Rather Be Reading AND Tara at Hobbitsies IMM this week, I went hunting. Luckily, it was on NG as an instant read, and I am EXCITED to read! Those are 4 of my absolute favourite book blogs, I trust them all with this.

Midwinterblood by Marcus Sedgwick - thanks MacMillan Teen! (pictured at the top)
You can't tell me this book doesn't look amazing after watching the book trailer. Thanks Ksenia for offering it out on Twitter!

When We Wake by Karen Healey, via Around the World ARC Tours
DYING to read this! I requested it from Little, Brown during ALA and they said they'd send a copy to me, but one never came :( Glad to have found it on ATWT!

What books came into your possession this week?
Leave your link and I'll hop by!
