The Weekly Wrap-Up (33): So many books!

I have a lot of huge life things happening right now. Some aren't so great, like a few health problems and a ton of dental work (root canals and crowns woooo!) -- though the silver lining that deserves much gratitude is that none of it is life-threatening. Life changing, yes--but not life threatening.
And then there are some really great life things happening, but they're all kind of…up in the air right now, and I don't want to jinx any of it. Just trust me that while it is a little stressful and a lot time consuming, I think it's going to improve my life SO, SO much. And I'm so excited.

In case you missed it...
Coming up...
Reviews of Boys Don't Knit by TS Easton, The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord, The Break-Up Artist by Philip Siegal, and Severed Heads, Broken Hearts (now titled The Beginning of Everything) by Robyn Schneider. I've been cooking up a few fun discussion posts too, so I hope to post those soon -- and of course, March is my birthday month, so some celebrations have to happen!

Onto the books!

The Weekly Wrap-Up (32): Hello, October. We meet again.

How is it already October?! My goodness, you guys. I just don't understand how a year can go by so freakin' fast. I'm already knee deep in my party planning and holiday happenings, both for personal life and my work. I'm planning my work's Anniversary party--it's in JANUARY!
How's life, everyone? I'm in a weird stage of finally being able to manage work and trying to get back into the swing of life. I'm going to admit that I heavily considered giving up on my blog and going on hiatus…but every single time I seriously thought about it, I became so sad and distraught at the idea that I finally realized it meant I shouldn't do it. I love this piece of my life, and I'm not ready to let it go yet. If ever.
So of course I'm going to ruin any time I may have by…possibly doing NaNoWriMo! Anyone else taking it on? I try it every year for the last 6 years but have only won twice. Maybe this will be the third? A girl can dream.

The Weekly Wrap-Up (31): NaNoWriMo is upon us!

I am a glutton for punishment.
Which is code for: I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year. Attempting, anyway. Which is hilariously dumb since I can barely find the time to eat (I forgot to eat lunch THREE TIMES last week) and am determined to fit in gym time this month. I'm shooting for the moon anyway, I figure I may as well toss in NaNo, right? Any words of encouragement would be freakin' fantastic, guys.
Anyone else NaNo-ing? How are you faring three days in?

The Weekly Wrap-Up (30): The Holidays Are Nigh

How is it already a week into OCTOBER?! Where did September go? Did anyone report that an entire month was stolen?! Oh wait, government has shut down, so...
(ZING!)
(Not to make light of that. Trust me, in this military/government household, it's taking its toll.)
(Anyway.)
Happy October, all! I'm trying to plan my Halloween costume, because I'm the one coordinating and running the Halloween meeting and costume contest at my work -- I'm kiiiiinda figuring if I'm running the costume contest I have to wear one? Ugh. I never dress up. I've got a few ideas, but so far I'm not too happy with any of them. And I'm running out of time since I always, always make mine every year. Any suggestions? Help? What will you be dressing up as this year?

In case you missed it...
Coming up...
A review of How To Love by Katie Cotugno, and a series review of Just One Day & Just One Year by Gayle Forman! I'm going to tackle Jamie @ The Perpetual Page-Turner's A-Z Book Survey, and that fancy giveaway button on my sidebar? It's been there for months, and I'm FINALLY going to get that up!

The Weekly Wrap-Up (29): Happy September

Well...it has been awhile. Much longer than usual.
I have excuses, and most of them are work-related. I've always been a workaholic, which is what made this blog flourish when I was unemployed. But now that I'm focusing on a job, I put in 60 hour weeks and don't think twice how it will affect the rest of my life, you know? I'm trying hard to back down because I definitely made myself sick and stress myself out when I work so many hours, but it's tough. When you really care about something (who ever though I'd say that about a job?!), you want to put your all into it.
But aside from work things, there's been a lot going on with various friends and my family. And I'm working on finding the balance. In the mean time, I still read voraciously and am around. You'll see me on GoodReads a lot as I track things and keep up there.
I'm getting a schedule going for the rest of the year though, and I thoroughly plan on being a part of the book blogging world again. More review to be posted, some wrap-ups and holiday things; and I'm going to visit all my old blog friends and find new ones.

In case you missed it...
Coming up...
Reviews of The Infinite Moment of Us by Lauren Myracle and Reality Boy by AS King; a Waiting on Wednesday I'm REALLY excited for; and I'm hosting a giveaway for the Sequels Giveaway Hop!

I was thinking of trying to catch up all the books I've received since my last Weekly Wrap-Up (back in June!!), but I'd seriously just have to photograph a bookcase. So, I decided to start fresh and only do the books I've received this week.

The Weekly-Wrap Up (28): I'm really abusing 'weekly' at this point.

Yes, I am posting this on a Tuesday. Yes, I'm aware this isn't quite a "weekly" thing right now. And yes, I know I'm severely behind on everything to do with this blog. But I wanted to share all the awesome that's come through my house lately!
I have plenty of excuses for you, but nothing new. Work, trying to get my life in shape, a new boy that's making me all fluttery and in denial, and I'm gearing up for summer. I'm sad to say I will not be at ALA this year, travel plans and companions fell through :( Super bummed, but will definitely be at next year's!

In case you missed it...
Coming up...
A petite revue of Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas; full reviews of Right of Way by Lauren Barnholdt and September Girls by Bennett Madison; and I'll finally get around to putting up a giveaway to celebrate having 1000+ GFC followers!

Onto the books!

Seeing as how the last time I did a wrap-up was the beginning of MAY, this seems like a lot - but keep in mind this was for 5 weeks! I find it fascinating to see how many books enter my house in a month...

The Weekly Wrap-Up (27): And by "week," I mean "April."

It's been quite awhile since I did one of these! I keep meaning to, but each weekend has been filled with so many things to do or places to go. LA for the Festival of Books (which was fantastic!), Palm Springs with 9 other friends for a friend's birthday (also fun), family things...time just moves so swiftly. Work has been utterly insane, though I'm not going to whine about it here too much (mostly because if you follow me on Twitter, you've probably already heard it). Busy busy busy!

In case you missed it...
Coming up...
Truthfully, I have no idea! I've got a bunch of reviews written, but nothing formatted to put up. I'm so happy to be a tour stop on the 13th for The Summer I Became A Nerd - check out my review then! And I think I'll also review You Look Different In Real Life by Jennifer Castle. Surprises to come! (Also, the Clear Your Shelf Giveaway hop will start on Tuesday! Come back then for a fantastic prize!)
